By Air:

Air travel is one of the most convenient ways to reach Central Oregon. Roberts Field-  Redmond Municipal Airport (RDM) provides the region with convenient, non-stop commercial air service to and from many major U.S. cities including:  San Francisco, CA; Portland, OR; Seattle, WA; Salt Lake City, UT and Las Vegas, NV. Air service carriers serving RDM are Alaska Airlines/Horizon Air; United Express; Delta Connection and Allegiant Air.

By Car - Driving Directions:

  • From Portland – Approximate drive time 3 hours; approximately 160 miles
  • Take I-84 eastbound
  • Take Exit 16 (Wood Village exit) southbound towards Gresham.  Follow signs for US 26 eastbound
  • Continue on US 26 east approximately 101 miles to Madras, where US 26 merges with US 97
  • To visit Prineville, take Hwy 26 S.  Stay on Hwy 26 S for approximately 29 miles into Prineville.
  • If Redmond is your destination, from Madras continue on US 97 southbound approximately 50 miles to the City of Redmond.
  • Want to check out the town of Sisters? From Redmond, take Hwy 126 west approximately 22 miles to the juncion with Hwy 20 and the town of Sisters.
  • If you want to continue on to Bend, stay on US 97 southbound. Bend is an additional 15 miles from the southernmost Redmond City limits.
  • If your final destination is Sunriver, continue southbound on US 97 through the City of Bend for an additional 15 miles from the    southernmost Bend City limits.
  • La Pine is an additional 15 miles to the south of Sunriver, along US 97.
